How can I schedule a tour, get pricing and check availability?

Where is Bayou City Event Center located?

Bayou City Event Center is centrally located near the Galleria, Downtown, Reliant Stadium and the Medical Center at 9401 Knight Road, Houston, TX 77045. We are only a few blocks south of Reliant Stadium.

How many guests can Bayou City Event Center accommodate?

Bayou City Event Center is a very large, multipurpose event center. Seating capacity in the Grand Ballroom is around 1600 banquet-style or 2500 theater-style. If additional space is needed, there is another indoor ballroom as well as two other outdoor areas. Our smallest ballroom will accommodate 120 banquet-style or 220 theater-style.

Do you have separate ballrooms?

Yes, Bayou City Event Center's Grand Ballroom can be divided in up to three ballrooms (Cypress, Magnolia A and Magnolia B). There is a forth ballroom, Lakeview Ballroom, off Magnolia Ballroom A and also a newly built outdoor patio that is also easily accessible for a fifth space. Lastly, we have a very large outdoor pavilion and 125,000 square foot parking area that are frequently utilized for outdoor festivities and completes are sixth area for events. This area includes, but is not limited to, ample space for helicopter landings, firework shows, concerts, barbeques, walks for cures/causes, motorcycle and car shows, horse carriages, jump houses, water slides and wedding festivities to include baraats.

What is the Lakeview Ballroom?

The Lakeview Ballroom is perfect space for an intimate wedding ceremony, lunch, holiday party, VIP room or additional auction space for charity galas. This ballroom is our most elegant room, featuring a 22' fireplace, crown molding and elaborate chandelier.

Can I get married and have my reception all at Bayou City Event Center?

Of course, and Bayou City Event Center will make you a custom package to be able to do both.

How long has Bayou City Event Center been open?

Bayou City Event Center opened its doors in May of 2011 and was named "Building of the Year."

What kind of events does Bayou City Event Center accommodate?

Bayou City Event Center can accommodate and is versatile in all types of events, but is primarily geared toward the larger events in Houston.

Do you have in-house catering?

Yes, Bayou City Event Center offers one of the industry’s best caterers, Rosemary’s Catering. Rosemary's Catering is a member of the RK Group, out of San Antonio, and has been in the catering business for over 65 years. Best known for their creative and customized menus, you can count on Rosemary’s Catering to take your menu and professionally extrapolate it out exquisitely for hundreds or thousands at your next event. You will enjoy the same excellent quality and service as you did in your intimate tasting for four.

Can I use my own caterer?

Yes, Bayou City Event Center allows you to use outside caterers that are approved by Bayou City Event Center. Outside caterers must be approved by Bayou City Event Center for standard, quality, health codes and to maintain the integrity of the building. Outside catering fees may apply, especially when kitchen usage is needed.

Can we bring our own food?

Yes, in the outdoor pavilion only. You may also request access to our ice machine and refrigerator in the outdoor pavilion.

What types of bar packages do you have available?

Bayou City Event Center is a fully licensed liquor, beer and wine venue that offers cash, hosted and consumption house and premium bar packages. Please get with a staff member today to discuss our great bar pricing!

Can we bring our own liquor, beer and wine?

Yes, in the outdoor pavilion only.

Do you have parking?

Yes, Bayou City Event Center has 125,000 square feet or 800 complimentary parking spaces that are only steps from our front doors.

Do you have an outdoor option?

Yes, we have two outdoor options. Bayou City Event Center has a covered outdoor pavilion on the south end of the property as well as a newly added outdoor patio off of the main event center.

May I use my own decorator or florist?

Of course, we encourage all great third-party vendors to work at Bayou City Event Center. We do have some in-house capabilities as well as offer preferred vendor recommendations. The staff at Bayou City Event Center are very knowledgeable of the best vendors in the industry and likely can also obtain the best pricing for you. All vendors must comply with Bayou City Event Center’s insurance requirements.

Do you have tables and chairs, or do I have to rent them?

Our in-house tables and chairs are complimentary with all venue rental space at Bayou City Event Center.

What is your audio/visual like?

One word, "WOW!" Unlike most venues, our in-house audio and visual equipment is included COMLIMENTARY with your rental!!! We have the best equipment in town, so please stop by to view our amazing built-in screens and projectors today. In addition, you will also have access to our wireless microphones, staging, wooden podiums and in-house audio system.

Can you accommodate special guests and celebrities?

Yes, Bayou City Event Center is fully equipped and experienced in accommodating special guests and celebrities. Some more recent special guests include Clint Black, The Gatlin Brothers, Steve Wariner, Demi Lovato, Jay Leno, Elizabeth Smart, Tory Johnson, Andre Agassi, Jo Dee Messina, Kylie Bisutti, Lyn Swann, JJ Watt, General Tommy Franks and many of our congressman, country, state, city and foreign officials and representatives.

Can you cater off-premise?

Yes, Rosemary’s Catering also caters off-premise. Please contact our catering team at (713) 796-2680 X 21 or jmccullar@therkgroup.com.

Do you have a covered porte-cochere?

Yes, we do have a very large, covered porte-cochere at the front of the main event center. This provides VIP access for all of our guests, especially during inclement weather.

Does Bayou City Event Center permit smoking?

Smoking is not allowed inside of the venue, but areas can be designated outside to facilitate these needs. In addition, please ask us about having a unique and exquisite outdoor, cigar bar experience in our new outdoor patio or pavilion!

Will I be charged if my party goes over my contracted time frame?

More than likely, you will not be charged for additional time on the venue space, but approval would need to come through your dedicated Event Manager at Bayou City Event Center. We want you to take advantage of setting up as early as possible and leaving when you, your guests and vendor needs dictate. However, any additional hourly items needed (i.e. staffing, security and bar) will cause additional costs to the client's final bill. Please speak with your designated Event Manager at Bayou City Event Center to be informed of the additional costs before extending your time needs.
